The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic issued Communication “A” 8375 to waive regulatory objections regarding the increase of the Chubut Province Treasury Bill issuance amount by up to $60 billion pesos, raising total circulation to $140 billion. The resolution explicitly prohibits participating financial entities from applying their foreign currency deposit lending capacity to subscribe to these dollar-linked Treasury Bills. Compliance with existing credit risk fragmentation provisions remains mandatory for all intervening financial entities.
