Banco de Portugal issued Instruction No. 8/2022 to amend Instruction No. 54/2012, which governs the operation of the TARGET2-PT real-time gross settlement transfer system. This regulatory update modifies the operational rules for credit institutions and specific agricultural credit entities regarding interbank transfers. The instruction entered into force on May 2, 2022, following its publication in the Official Bulletin in April 2022.
