The Central Bank of Bahrain has published a consultation on a proposed resolution establishing the legal framework for securities types, offering methods, and issuer obligations under Article 83 of its governing law. Regulated entities, including licensees and listed companies, must submit their feedback or nil comments in editable format to the regulator by 29 January 2023. The finalized resolution will be published on the CBB website and directly governs how securities are issued, traded, and regulated within the Kingdom of Bahrain.

**Consultation on the Proposed Resolution in Relation to Article 83 of the Central Bank of Bahrain and Financial Institutions Law**
As part of the Central Bank of Bahrain’s (“CBB”) on-going objective to enhance its regulatory framework, a new resolution is proposed which contains the legal framework concerning the types of securities that may be issued in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the methods of offering and dealing with them and the obligations of each issuing party.
The proposed resolution shall be available at the CBB website (www.cbb.gov.bh) under the “open consultation” section.
The CBB requests you to provide your comments, including “nil comments” on the proposed resolution in an editable format to consultation@cbb.gov.bh by 29th January 2023.
