Final Report on Draft Technical Standards for CSDR Review and Evaluation
ESMA issues final draft technical standards amending existing regulations to harmonize the review and evaluation process for Central Securities Depositories under the CSDR Refit mandate. The standards specify detailed reporting requirements for CSDs to competent authorities and establish standardized procedures for sharing evaluation results with relevant authorities and colleges of supervisors. To mitigate implementation burdens, ESMA has deferred the application of certain new requirements by one year to allow for necessary IT adaptations and process changes.
