Regulations amending supervisory reporting for insurance business regarding PEPP providers

Finansinspektionen issued regulations amending its supervisory reporting guidelines for insurance business to address pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP) providers. The amendment inserts a new section into FFFS 2015:13 to establish that additional provisions in FFFS 2022:20 apply to insurance undertakings offering PEPPs under Regulation (EU) 2019/1238. These regulations entered into force on 1 January 2023.

Finansinspektionen prescribes pursuant to section 2, points 1 and 5 of the Supplemental Provisions for the EU Regulation on a pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP) Ordinance (2022:1765) that a new section, Chapter 1, section 1a, shall be inserted into Finansinspektionen’s regulations and general guidelines (FFFS 2015:13) regarding supervisory reporting for insurance business with the following wording. Chapter 1 Section 1a For insurance undertakings that are PEPP providers pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2019/1238 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on a pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP), there are additional provisions set out in Finansinspektionen’s regulations (FFFS 2022:20) regarding a pan-European personal pension product.
