RS Official Gazette, No 56/2013 Pursuant to Article 18, paragraph 1, item 3, with reference to Article 55, paragraph 1 of the Law on the National Bank of Serbia (RS Official Gazette, Nos 72/2003, 55/2004, 85/2005 – other law and 44/2010, 76/2012 and 106/2012), the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia issues the following: DECISION ON THE ISSUE AND MAIN FEATURES OF THE 200-DINAR BANKNOTE

  1. The National Bank of Serbia shall issue a 200-dinar banknote.
  2. The 200-dinar banknote shall be printed on tinted security paper with a multitone watermark featuring the portrait of Nadežda Petrović and an OVD element at the banknote front (hereinafter: kinegram) which is situated in the lower right corner of the fully printed part – between the portrait and the denomination mark “200”. Kinegram consists of the denomination mark “200” and a stylized picture of a palette with crossed brushes, microtext “200 динара” written in Cyrillic and Latin on palette rim and within the very palette the denomination “200” written as microtext. In the non-metalised part of the kinegram is the text “200 ДИНАРА” written in Latin in the upper part and in Cyrillic in the lower part. The background of the central motif on kinegram includes guilloche lines which – if moved – give the effect of rotation. Sketched denomination “200” which gradually decreases towards the ends make the whole kinegram complete. Viewing the kinegram from different angles and depending on light, the kinegram forms several different pictures which flow one into another thereat changing colour. The back of the banknote contains an embedded security silver-coloured thread containing the microlettering in the negative “ДИНАР DINAR”, with the mark “~”. The microlettering is continuously repeated and read both from the front and back of the banknote (the security thread and microlettering are clearly visible from the front and can be seen from the back under the light which makes the banknote transparent).

The paper also incorporates visible security fibers in yellow, blue and red colours, with yellow and red fluorescing yellow and red under ultraviolet light. The banknote shall be printed in a combined technique – the front in intaglio, multicolour offset print, and the back in multicolour offset print and letter press for numbering. The numbering contains two letters and seven numerals and is printed twice on the back of the banknote – once in black and the second time in red. The numbering printed in the black colour is placed in the upper part between the Coat-of-Arms of the Republic of Serbia and the denomination value “200” in the positive, fluorescing yellow-green under ultraviolet rays. The numbering printed in the red colour is placed along the right edge of the fully printed part, above the denomination value “200”, fluorescing orange-red under ultraviolet rays. 3. The dimensions of the 200-dinar banknote are 70 х 147 mm. Front of the banknote 4. The layout is horizontal. The left side features the portrait of Nadežda Petrović in intaglio print. To the left of the portrait there are words “Nadežda Petrović” written in succession, in Cyrillic and Latin letters, followed by the years of her birth and death “1873–1915”. To the right of the portraint is the sculpture authored by Nadežda Petrović, whereas the background contains discrete picture of the Gračanica Monasery, the motif which she used on her canvases. The right margine of the fully printed part includes the motif of a painter’s brush. The denomination mark “200” is written in the negative, placed in the upper right corner of the fully printed part, and the one in the positive is placed in the lower part of the white surface. The text “Narodna banka Srbije” in intaglio print is written in Latin letters in two rows and placed in the white surface in the right corner, while the same text in intaglio print, in Cyrillic letters in two rows is placed near the left

margin of the banknote – words “Narodna banka” in the positive and the word “Srbije” in the negative. Above the word “Srbije” written in Cyrillic letters in the negative there shall be an intaglio mark for the visually impaired persons (a square with horizontal stripes and an inscribed circle). To the left from this word there is the microlettering “NBS” printed in the same technique, in Cyrillic and Latin letters in six rows. The upper part of the white surface of the banknote contains an intaglio kip effect of ellipsoidal shape featuring the logo of the National Bank of Serbia. This picture turns into the text “NBS” which becomes visible only when observing the banknote from particular angles (the viewing direction must be as close as possible to the surface of the banknote turned by 45 degrees in both rotation directions), thereby displaying the picture both in the positive and negative. The upper and lower edges of this element contain the microlettering “NBS” which is repeated – in Cyrillic letters in the upper part and Latin letters in the lower part. There is another kip effect of rectangular shape in intaglio print in the lower right part of the white surface of the banknote, above the denomination value “200”, containing the text “NBS” in Cyrillic letters, and below and above it there is the microlettering “NBS” in Cyrillic letters in the upper part and in Latin letters in the lower part. This kip effect is viewed in the same manner as the one of the ellipsoidal shape. The lower part of the banknote, left to the denomination mark “200”, right between the fully printed part and the white surface there is a see-through register representing one half of the whole picture which can be seen in total only together with the appropriate part of the picture on the back of the banknote (the total picture is the white square within a bigger full square rotated relative to the first one for 45 degrees). To the right of the number “200” there is the text “dvesta dinara” in the negative and in Latin letters, while the same text in Cyrillic letters is placed in the lower part of the banknote, between the portrait and the kinegram. Along the right edge of the banknote, against the light-brown redish background there is the text “falsifikovanje se kažnjava po zakonu” first in

Cyrillic and then in Latin letters, and in the continuation there is a discretely designated denomination mark “200”. Back of the banknote 5. The layout is vertical. In the lower part of the fully printed section is the figure of Nadežda Petrović as a volunteer nurse in the First Balkan War. Above the figure, to the rifht is the sillhouette of the Gračanica Monastery, while the upper left corner of the fully printed section contains a part of the composition/detail from one of her paintings. The denomination value “200” in the positive is placed in the upper right corner of the banknote against the blue background, and the one in the negative is placed in the lower left corner of the fully printed part. In the upper right corner of the fully printed part there is the text “dvesta dinara” in yellow Cyrillic letters in the positive, and below it in Latin letters in the negative. The lower right part of the white surface contains words in three rows, from up to down in Cyrillic and Latin letters: “Beograd”, “godina” and “guverner” with the designation of the year “2013” in the negative. Below these words there is the signature of the Governor Jorgovanka Tabaković. The upper and lower edges of the fully printed part contain the text “Narodna banka Srbije – Zavod za izradu novčanica i kovanog novca – Topčider” (the upper text in Cyrillic letters and the lower text in Latin letters). The lower right corner of the fully printed part contains the microlettering “200 dinara” in the positive, alternately in Cyrillic and Latin letters, in eight rows. The denomination mark “200” is placed above the microlettering. The upper left corner of the banknote, against the blue background, contains the Great Coat-of-Arms of the Republic of Serbia. The background under the Coat-of-Arms contains the multiplicated number “200” in the negative with a shade; in microlettering the number is in the lower part. The upper left part of the banknote, at the border between the white surface and the fully printed part contains the complementary part of the see-through register referred to in Section 4, paragraph 8 hereof.

  1. The front and back of the banknote are dominated by shades of ambre red, with the addition of bluish shades. The redish colour on the front fluoresces orange under ultraviolet rays. Fluorescent yellow on the back is clearly visible under ultraviolet rays, especially the text “dvesta dinara” written in yellow colour.
  2. This Decision enters into force on the day following its publication in the RS Official Gazette. D. No 11 Governor 26 June 2013 National Bank of Serbia B e l g r a d e Jorgovanka Tabaković, PhD
