Whereas the issuance and circulation of Rupiah is addressed to provide cash in society as an instrument of payment (legal tender); b. Whereas to enchance the element function on currency in the 100.000 (one hundred thousand) Rupiah denomination as legal tender in Republic of Indonesia, it is deemed necessary to enhance the design of rupiah currency especially for the signature in bank notes, the placement of year of issue or year emission, and the year of print; c. Now therefore, based on the considerations referred to in letter a and letter b, amandment of Bank Indonesia Regulation corncerning Issuance and Circulation of the Year 2004 Issue of Banknotes in the 100.000 (One Hundred Thousand) Rupiah denomination needs to be amended; In view of : 1. Article I Several provisions in Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 6/28/PBI/2004 concerning Issuance and Circulation of the Year 2004 Issue Of Banknotes in the 100,000 (one hundred thousand) Rupiah Denomination (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 162 of 2004) amended as follows:

  1. The provisions of Article 4 shall be amended as follows: Article 4 The specifications of Rupiah currency in the 100,000 (one hundred thousand) rupiah denomination referred to Article 1 are:
  2. Color the dominant color printed on the obverse and reverse sides of the banknote is red.

  1. main image of the Proclaimers of Independence and underneath the inscriptions of “DR. IR. SOEKARNO” and “DR. H. MOHAMMAD HATTA”;
  2. between the Proclaimers of Independence, the inscription of “Teks Proklamasi Republik Indonesia” (text proclaiming the Republic of Indonesia) against the background of the flag of the Republic of Indonesia;
  3. to the left of the main image, an image of the Gedung Proklamasi;
  4. to the lower left of the main image, the words “BANK INDONESIA” inscribed horizontally, and underneath this inscription, the inscription of “SERATUS RIBU RUPIAH” (one hundred thousand rupiah);
  5. the number “100000” representing face value, inscribed horizontally to the upper left of the main image and vertically to the right of watermark;
  6. to the upper left of the image of the Gedung Proklamasi, a rectoverso image that if held up to the light will reveal a complete logo of Bank Indonesia;

Mohammad Hatta, forming a lotus flower; d) the upper right in the vicinity of the garuda and to the lower right of the signatures of the Board of Governors, forming curves with text size varying from large to small; e) the upper right, center right, and lower right edges, forming an underlying pattern with varying color of text. b. Unofficial Translation 7) to the upper right, below the serial number, a rectoverso image that if held up to the light will reveal a complete logo of Bank Indonesia; 8) to the lower left, directly below the number “100000” representing face value, the inscription of “PERUM PERCETAKAN UANG RI IMP. 2004” (the Indonesian currency mint, 2004) and year of issue “2004”; 9) above the watermark, an invisibly printed image of the Indonesian Parliament Building that glows with a reddish color under ultraviolet light; 10) to the upper left of the main image, an invisibly printed inscription of the number “100000” representing face value, that will glow greenish yellow under ultraviolet light; 11) microtext with the inscription of “BANK INDONESIA” or “BI”, legible only under a magnifying glass, at the: a) center left edge, forming curves; b) upper and lower left, behind the number representing face value and below the Indonesian Parliament and Council Building, forming curves in varying text size, from large to small; c) to the upper right, the roof of the Indonesian Parliament Building, forming an underlying pattern on the banknote; d) at the center right edge, in curved form. 3. Material the specifications of this banknote are as follows: a. made of cotton fiber; b. length 151 mm and width 65 mm; c. light red color; d. does not glow under ultraviolet light; e. water mark depicting the National Hero W.R. Soepratman and electrotype in ornamental form; f. woven security thread with micro inscription of “BI 100000”, complete or partially cut;

Between article 5 and Article 6, was inserted 1 (one) Article, namely Article 5A as follow: Article 5A The banknotes in the 100,000 (one hundred thousand) Rupiah denomination issued by Bank Indonesia before the enactment of this Bank Indonesia Regulation, are declared still remain as a legal tender along has not been revoked and withdrawn from circulation.
