Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) issued Circular No. 1068705 approving the Regulation on Close-out Netting and Related Collateral Arrangements alongside a designated list of Eligible Financial Contracts. This regulation mandates full compliance by all financial institutions under SAMA’s supervision, taking effect from the publication date and aligning with the Bankruptcy Law and its Executive Regulations. The designated contracts were jointly established by SAMA, the Capital Market Authority, and the Ministry of Commerce to ensure consistent legal enforcement across the financial sector.
