The Supervisor of Banks issued this directive to ensure banks maintain accessible cash withdrawal services at controlled prices near their branches. The regulation exempts banks from price supervision for ATMs located outside branch premises and at least five hundred meters away, allowing them to compete with non-banking providers. Banks with ten or more branches and ten thousand or more current accounts must install ATMs on external walls or within five hundred meters of each branch, subject to potential written exemptions.
