Communications - Remuneration Systems - Data Collection at Banks and SIMs

The Bank of Italy issued a communication regarding data collection on remuneration trends for supervisory purposes at banks and investment firms. In accordance with ECB Decision 2024/461, the submission deadline for significant banking groups with assets up to 40 billion euros and certain EU subsidiaries is advanced from August 31 to June 15. This adjustment applies to entities included in the sample selected by their respective supervisory authorities under the ECB Regulation on the Supervisory Reporting Framework.

Regarding banks and banking groups subject to monitoring in the area of benchmarking on remuneration trends and practices for national supervisory purposes (para. 3.2.1 of the Communication for data collection at banks and investment firms in implementation of the EBA guidelines), it is noted that - pursuant to ECB Decision (EU) 2024/461 of 29 January 2024 - the submission of information is advanced from August 31 to June 15 of the monitoring year for: i) significant banking groups under ECB Regulation (EU) No 468/2014 with total assets equal to or less than 40 billion euros; ii) subsidiaries with total assets exceeding 5 billion euros of significant EU banks under ECB Regulation (EU) No 468/2014 whose foreign parent company is included in the sample selected by their respective supervisory authority.
