Bank of Portugal issued Instruction No. 4/2022 to revoke Instructions No. 18/97 and No. 14/2006, aiming to simplify reporting requirements and eliminate duplications. This regulatory change reduces compliance burdens for credit institutions, financial societies, and other supervised entities by consolidating prudential supervision and accounting standards. The instruction entered into force on March 1, 2022, under the legal framework of Decree-Law No. 298/92 and Law No. 5/98.
Revoke Bank of Portugal Instructions No. 18/97 and No. 14/2006, with a view to simplification and elimination of reporting duplications, and consequently, to the reduction of associated costs for the entities covered.
