Short-term Insurance Act 4 of 1998

The regulator promulgated the Short-term Insurance Act 4 of 1998 to mandate comprehensive licensing and financial prudence standards for short-term insurance providers. The legislation requires all operating entities to maintain strict reporting obligations and capital adequacy thresholds. Maintained through continuous updates since March 2017, the current consolidated version remains fully operational as of October 2024.
