The UAE Cabinet issued Resolution No. 4 of 2013 to officially designate the location and area of the Abu Dhabi International Market. The resolution specifies that the market shall be situated on Al Mariya Island in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, covering an area of 1,680,323 square meters. This directive took effect immediately upon its issuance on February 12, 2013, and was published in the Official Gazette.
CABINETRESOLUTION NO. (4)of 2013REGARDING THE DETERMINATION OF THE LOCATION ANDAREA OF ABU DHABI INTERNATIONAL MARKET The Cabinet, Having reviewed: The Constitution; Federal Law No. (1) of 1972 regarding the competences of the Ministries and the Powers of the Ministers and its amended laws; Federal Law No. (8) of 2004 regarding the Financial Free Zones; Cabinet Resolution No. (28) of 2007 regarding the implementing regulations of the Federal Law No. (8) of 2004 regarding the Financial Free Zones; Federal Decree No. (15) of 2013 regarding the incorporation of a financial free zone in the emirate of Abu Dhabi; and Based on the approval of the Cabinet Resolve the following: Article (1) The location of the “Abu Dhabi International Market” shall be on Al Mariya Island in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, area of (1,680,323) sq. m., as per the attached map. Article (2) This Resolution shall take effect as from the date of its issue and shall be published in the Official Gazetter.
