Final Report on Guidelines on Enforcement of Sustainability Information

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) issued the Guidelines on Enforcement of Sustainability Information (GLESI) to mandate convergent supervision of sustainability reporting by national competent authorities under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. These guidelines align enforcement practices with existing financial reporting standards to ensure consistency, covering key areas such as basic concepts, internal organization, examination, and enforcement actions. National competent authorities are required to notify ESMA of their compliance status within two months of the publication of the official translations.
