Final Call Regarding Deadline for Submission of Comments on Proposed Changes to the Capital Markets Authority Act

The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) has granted a one-week extension to the comment period for proposed changes to the Capital Markets Authority Act. Stakeholders are required to submit their feedback to the legal department by the close of business on Friday, 4th November 2022. This final call follows a virtual workshop held in September and an initial one-month comment period that concluded on 27th October 2022.

FINAL CALL REGARDING THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF COMMENTS ON PROPOSED AREAS OF CHANGE TO THE CAPITAL MARKETS AUTHORITY ACT.

The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) would like to thank all the stakeholders who took time to participate in the virtual workshop that was held on Tuesday, 27 th September 2022, to discuss the proposed areas of change to the Capital Markets Authority Act Cap 84.

Following the workshop, the CMA issued a one-month period to receive comments from stakeholders on additional areas for review of the CMA Act. This period ended on 27 th October 2022. However, due to a special request, the CMA granted an extension of one week.
