G1-2023 - Status of previously issued guidance notes
The South African Reserve Bank issued Guidance Note 1/2023 to confirm which previously issued regulatory guidance notes remain effective for the ensuing year. The document lists 34 specific guidance notes, ranging from 2008 to 2022, that banks, controlling companies, and their auditors must retain and continue to follow. Institutions are required to ensure their auditors receive this notification and to return a signed acknowledgement of receipt to the Prudential Authority.
