The Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a decision on May 8, 2002, to introduce the 200 KM banknote as legal tender. The regulation specifies the banknote's physical dimensions, blue color scheme, and bilingual Latin/Cyrillic text featuring Ivo Andrić on the obverse and the Drina Bridge on the reverse. CENTRAL BANK OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
Pursuant to Article 2, paragraph 3, item h., Article 7, item e., Article 39, and Article 42 of the Law on the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Official Gazette of Bosnia and Herzegovina", No. 1/97), with the approval of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the design of the convertible mark banknote, the Governing Board of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at its 10th session held on May 8, 2002, adopts
DECISION on the issuance, basic features, and circulation of the convertible mark banknote in the denomination of 200 KM
The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter: the Central Bank) issues and puts into circulation the convertible mark banknote (hereinafter: KM) in the denomination of 200 KM, as legal tender in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The banknote referred to in item 1 of this Decision is printed on specially protected paper with an embossed watermark and other visible and hidden security features.
The banknote referred to in item 1 of this Decision has dimensions of 156 mm x 76 mm. The dominant color on both the obverse and reverse of the banknote is blue, with yellow and green colors present.
On the banknote referred to in item 1 of this Decision, the name and words are printed in Latin and Cyrillic scripts in alternating order, such that in some places on the banknote the text is first printed in Latin script and below it in Cyrillic script, and in other places the text is first printed in Cyrillic script and below it in Latin script.
On the obverse of the banknote are: The name "CENTRAL BANK OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA" in Latin and Cyrillic scripts, and the words "CONVERTIBLE MARKS" and "TWO HUNDRED CONVERTIBLE MARKS" in Cyrillic and Latin scripts. The value mark "200" indicated three times in prominent places. Portrait of writer Ivo Andrić with his first and last name in Cyrillic and Latin scripts and dates of birth and death. Signature of the Governor with the word "GOVERNOR" in Latin and Cyrillic scripts and a serial number with capital letters and seven digits. Design and security elements that enhance the artistic impression and security of the banknote.
On the reverse of the banknote are: The name "CENTRAL BANK OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA" in Cyrillic and Latin scripts. The words "TWO HUNDRED CONVERTIBLE MARKS" in Latin and Cyrillic scripts. The value mark "200" indicated four times in prominent places.

Printer's mark and year of printing "Oebs 2002" in the upper right part of the banknote (rotated 90° ccw). Design and security elements that enhance the artistic impression and security of the banknote.
Regarding the specific security characteristics of the banknote referred to in item 1 of this Decision, the Governor will inform commercial banks in an appropriate manner, with the proviso that one security element of this banknote is known exclusively to the Central Bank.
The banknote referred to in item 1 of this Decision will be put into circulation on May 15, 2002.
This Decision enters into force on the day of its adoption and will be published in the "Official Gazette of BiH", "Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH", and "Official Gazette of the Republic of Srpska".
