The Palestine Monetary Authority issued Circular No. 67/2025 to declare Thursday, June 26, 2025, an official public holiday in observance of the Islamic New Year. This directive is issued pursuant to Article 73 of Banking Law No. 9 of 2010 and a Cabinet resolution, applying to all banks operating in Palestine. The circular also conveys seasonal greetings to the banking sector workforce.

Subject: Islamic New Year Holiday
Based on the provisions of Article No. (73) of Banking Law No. 9 of 2010, and in reference to the esteemed decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, it has been decided to consider Thursday, June 26, 2025, as an official public holiday in celebration of the Islamic New Year.
On this blessed occasion, I extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to all employees in the banking sector, and we ask God to return it to our Palestinian people with their dreams fulfilled in establishing the independent State of Palestine with its capital, Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem).
