The Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka issued Directive 3 to grant regulatory relief to licensed stock brokers, dealers, and market intermediaries affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The directive extends submission deadlines for financial statements and reports by two to three weeks, defers annual licensing fees for one year upon request, and postpones Continuous Professional Development requirements by six months. Entities are required to monitor their risk profiles diligently and promptly report any exceptional matters that may adversely affect their financial standing or ability to meet obligations.
