The Federal Government has appointed specific officers from the Anti-Narcotics Force, Counter Terrorism Department, Federal Board of Revenue, Federal Investigating Agency, and National Accountability Bureau as ex-officio public prosecutors under the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010. These designated officials are formally authorized to appear, conduct prosecutions, and manage legal proceedings relevant to the Act before courts of competent jurisdiction. This notification formalizes the legal capacity of these agency-specific officers to act on behalf of the state in anti-money laundering litigation.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 22 of the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010 (VII of 2010), the Federal Government is pleased to appoint the prosecutors specified in column (3) of the Table below belonging to the investigating and prosecuting agencies, as specified in column (2) of that Table, to be the ex-officio public prosecutors for the purposes of sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 22 of the aforesaid Act, namely: Table: Sr. No. 1, Investigating and Prosecuting Agency: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Officers: Special Public Prosecutors. Sr. No. 2, Investigating and Prosecuting Agency: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Officers: Special Public Prosecutors. Sr. No. 3, Investigating and Prosecuting Agency: Federal Board of Revenue (Customs), Officers: Panel Advocates. Sr. No. 4, Investigating and Prosecuting Agency: Federal Board of Revenue (Inland Revenue), Officers: Panel Advocates. Sr. No. 5, Investigating and Prosecuting Agency: Federal Investigating Agency (FIA), Officers: Law officer not below the rank of Assistant Director Legal, FIA. Sr. No. 6, Investigating and Prosecuting Agency: National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Officers: Special Public Prosecutors on the roll of NAB. 2. The above said officers shall be competent to appear, conduct prosecute and conduct other proceedings under the abovementioned Act before the respective courts having jurisdiction.
