Circular 03-2023: Express Authorization Required for Use of SMV Logo
The Superintendencia del Mercado de Valores (SMV) of Panama issued Circular No. SMV-03-23 to remind regulated entities that the use of the SMV institutional logo requires express authorization from the regulator. Citing Law 64 of October 10, 2012, regarding Copyright and Related Rights, the circular explicitly states that such usage is not permitted without prior approval. This directive applies to all compliance officers, executive officers, and licensed entities under the SMV's jurisdiction.
