The Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) proposes a five percent inflationary increase across all supervisory levies and licensing fees for the financial year ending March 31, 2026. Issued under Section 31 of the NBFIRA Act, 2023, this external memorandum invites industry stakeholders to submit written comments electronically or by post. Submissions must be received no later than January 15, 2025 to inform the final fee structure before implementation.

The above matter refers.
The Authority informs all Non – Bank Financial Institutions (NBFIs) that it will adopt the following regarding the consultations on proposed supervisory levies and licensing fees for the financial year ending 31 March 2026:
(a) The Authority will call for comments from the Non-Bank Financial Institutions through the website and social media platforms.
(b) The Authority proposes the following with regards the supervisory levies and licensing fees:
(i) An inflationary adjustment of five percent across all supervisory levies as well as the licensing fees for the financial year ending 31 March 2026, in line with forecasts inflation rates for the 2026 financial period at approximately 5 percent.
(ii) The proposal is made following the last adjustments of the supervisory levies and the licensing fees in the 2022/2023 and 2016/2017 financial years, respectively.
(c) The notice is issued based on Section 31 of the NBFIRA Act, 2023 which requires the Authority to publish the proposal for supervisory levies, fees and charges for the financial year and call for submissions.
