Notice of Amendments to Legislation: February 2026

The DFSA Board issued two rule-making instruments to amend the DFSA Rulebook and align it with Federal anti-money laundering legislation. The AML Module Instrument Number 435 of 2026 and GLOSSARY Module Instrument Number 436 of 2026 implement targeted regulatory updates and terminology revisions. These amendments take effect on 2 March 2026, with the updated modules replacing archived versions on the DFSA website upon implementation.

Notice of Amendments to Legislation: February 2026

The DFSA Board made amendments to the DFSA Rulebook as described below to make various amendments to align with Federal AML legislation.

TAKE NOTICE THAT:

The DFSA Board made the following Rulemaking Instruments to come into force on 2 March 2026

ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING, COUNTER-TERRORIST FINANCING AND SANCTIONS MODULE (AML) RULE-MAKING INSTRUMENT (No. 435) 2026 (see appendix 1 for the detailed amendments);

GLOSSARY MODULE (GLO) RULE-MAKING INSTRUMENT (No. 436) 2026 (see appendix 2 for the detailed amendments)

The rule-making instruments mentioned above and the appendices to this notice can be viewed under the “ Amendments to Legislation ” section of the DFSA website and the relevant modules will be replaced on the DFSA website on the date of their coming into force as described above. Earlier versions of the relevant modules are to be found in the archive.
