Adjustments to Proper Conduct of Banking Business Directives for Dealing with the Coronavirus Crisis (Temporary Provision)

The Bank of Israel amended Proper Conduct of Banking Business Directive no. 250 to maintain temporary provisions allowing banking corporations to manage branch operations during the COVID-19 crisis. The updated directive permits banks to require advance appointment slots for customers while ensuring senior citizens can access services without reservations and maintaining at least 80 percent of branches open to the public. These measures aim to ensure business continuity and protect the health of both the public and bank employees amid ongoing infection risks.
