Periodic Circular (No. 140/2013)
The Central Bank of Libya issued Periodic Circular No. 140/2013 to mandate the inclusion of Islamic Banking Project Managers within its Strategies Committee. Subject: Membership of Islamic Banking Project Managers in the Strategies Committee
Based on the letter from Mr. / Deputy Governor dated January 2, 2013, regarding monitoring the Islamic Banking transformation project and its accepted transformation requirements in banks, and forming working teams from relevant departments responsible for transformation tasks, including communicating with the Sub-Committee for Strategies of the Islamic Banking Affairs Advisory Committee at the Central Bank of Libya, and cooperating with it technically in this field.
And referring to what was agreed upon in the meeting held at the Bank Supervision Department on July 9, 2013, attended by Mr. / Deputy Governor's Advisor for Islamic Banking Affairs, to discuss the completed transformation files, it was requested from you to provide full support for the Islamic Banking Project Managers and facilitate the transformation process by providing its requirements, in addition to submitting the names of your banks' transformation managers for Islamic Banking, their phone numbers, email addresses, and other data mechanisms that facilitate contacting them.
Given the importance of the subject, we hope to receive the requested data upon your receipt of this letter.
