Bank of Zambia FinAccess Geospatial Mapping Exercise (Circular 14/2015)
The Bank of Zambia has authorized the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Financial Sector Deepening Zambia to conduct a nationwide geospatial mapping survey of financial, health, and agricultural service access points. Contracted researchers will physically geo-reference locations, photograph premises, and compile data that will be made publicly available to help institutions monitor portfolio growth and identify underserved markets. The circular formally requests full cooperation from all commercial banks, non-bank financial institutions, and mobile money service providers to facilitate the data collection process between September and November 2015.
