The Bank of Portugal issued Instruction No. 4/2020 to revise the maximum interest rates applicable to consumer credit contracts for the first quarter of 2020 under Decree-Law No. 133/2009. This regulatory update supersedes and revokes the previous Instruction No. 22/2019, establishing new caps for the specified period. The instruction applies to credit institutions and financial companies, with an effective date of April 1, 2020.
