June 3, 2026, Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of the new administrative building of the Central Bank. The Chairman of the Central Bank, Taleh Kazimov, briefed the head of state on the facilities established within the building. The new building is located at 167 Heydar Aliyev Avenue in the capital. Constructed in accordance with modern urban planning principles, the building boasts high functionality and advanced technological indicators. President Ilham Aliyev viewed an exhibition showcasing the conceptual approach, design features, and technological development trajectory of national currency signs using modern presentation methods. It was noted that the exhibition reflects the history, development stages, design, and security elements of national currency signs. The building consists of 35 floors and features a total workspace for 1,300 people, conference and press halls, and various training and meeting rooms. Special attention was paid to accessibility and inclusion principles during the design of the new building, creating infrastructure that ensures comfortable and safe access and free movement for persons with physical disabilities. The building includes 25 rooms designated for official meetings and conferences. All rooms are equipped with necessary equipment. The building, which meets high quality, security, and sustainable development standards, is also equipped with modern technology and information systems. Additionally, a recreation area has been created to efficiently organize employees' leisure time, and a 340-person cafeteria will also be at their disposal. A 240-person conference hall, where various events and presentations will be held, offers all necessary conditions. A multimedia facade system, which ensures the visual recognition of the building at night, allows for the application of various lighting scenarios and projections. The lighting of the area and the building, including the facade, is equipped with motion-sensor LED technology. This, in turn, allows for saving electricity during daylight hours.
