Circular Letter No. (2) of 2022 dated 5/4/2022

Regarding the Membership of Securities Companies in the Egyptian Securities Association

With reference to the issuance by the Authority's Board of Directors of Decision No. (20) of 2019 concerning the Bylaws of the Egyptian Securities Association, and given that Article (44) of these Bylaws stipulates that the Authority shall appoint an executive committee to take necessary steps regarding calling for the first general assembly of the Association to elect its Board of Directors and adopt required decisions to activate the Association and commence its activities, with the first general assembly to be convened within a period not exceeding six months from the formation of the said committee.

And whereas the Authority's Board of Directors has extended the aforementioned six-month period on multiple occasions to allow securities companies operating in the field of securities to join the Association, with the most recent being Board Decision No. (32) of 2022, which stipulated extending the deadline granted to the executive committee to convene the first general assembly of the Association for six months as of 18/3/2022, the Authority wishes to confirm that this period is the final deadline for the aforementioned companies to join the Association as members, and strongly urges all these companies to complete their membership procedures with the Association before this deadline expires.
