The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission issued Circular C634 to direct Cyprus Investment Firms to use the revised version 9 of Form RBSF-CIF, correcting a validation error present in version 8. This regulatory update mandates that all authorized firms submit the corrected form electronically via the Transaction Reporting System by the new deadline of May 29, 2024. The extension of the submission deadline is a direct consequence of the technical revision required to ensure successful data transmission.

The present Circular is issued pursuant to section 25(1)(c)(ii) & (iii) of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission Law of 2009 (the ‘CySEC Law’), as amended and in continuation to Circular 632. Please note that Circular 632 and the present Circular, must be read together. Further to Circular 632 with subject ‘Risk Based Supervision Framework (the ‘RBS-F’) – Electronic submission of information for the year 2023 (Form RBSF-CIF)’, issued on April 16 th, 2024, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (the ‘CySEC') wishes with this Circular, to inform the Cyprus Investment Firms (the ‘CIFs’) about the following:
- Due to a validation error in Section ‘Validation Tests’ of Form RBSF-CIF, version 8, which may cause technical errors in the submission of the Form, the Form is now revised. The revised version of Form RBSF-CIF, version 9, can be found in the Appendix. All CIFs are requested to use this revised version of the Form, in their submission. Please note that the only amendment in the revised Form, is the correction of the validation test, in Section ‘Validation Tests’. All other information contained in version 8 of the Form, remains the same in version 9 of the Form.
- As a result of the revision of the Form, CySEC would like to inform the CIFs that the deadline for the submission of the Form, will be extended accordingly. In this respect, the revised version of the Form (i.e. version 9), must be completed and successfully submitted electronically via the CySEC’s Transaction Reporting System (‘TRS’) by Wednesday, May 29, 2024, the latest, by all CIFs that were authorised by December 31,
