The Law of Georgia On Securitization

The Parliament of Georgia enacted this law to establish the legal framework for securitization, defining key terms and regulating the activities of securitization special purpose vehicles and originators. The legislation mandates that entities either notify the National Bank of Georgia or obtain mandatory authorization if they conduct public offers or exceed twenty retail investors. It further specifies structural requirements for securitization companies and funds, asset management obligations, and restrictions on non-securitization activities to ensure market stability and investor protection.
