Royal Decree 487/2020 of 10 April extending the state of alarm declared by Royal Decree 463/2020 for the management of the COVID-19 health crisis
The Spanish Government, via Royal Decree 487/2020, extends the state of alarm for the COVID-19 health crisis until 00:00 on April 26, 2020, following authorization from the Congress of Deputies. This second extension aims to further contain disease transmission, prevent the saturation of intensive care units, and ensure adequate healthcare quality based on epidemiological data showing a flattening of cases. The decree maintains the conditions established in previous royal decrees to guarantee the mobilization of resources and the protection of public health.
