The Treasury issued the Insurance (Disclosure of Information) Order 2017 under the Insurance Act 2008 to designate specific authorities for information disclosure functions. The Order formally identifies the Cabinet Office and the Financial Intelligence Unit as the designated authorities for these purposes. It commenced operation on 1 November 2017 following its making on 6 September 2017.
