Insurance (Disclosure of Information) Order 2017
The Treasury issued the Insurance (Disclosure of Information) Order 2017 under the Insurance Act 2008 to designate specific authorities for information disclosure functions. The Order formally identifies the Cabinet Office and the Financial Intelligence Unit as the designated authorities for these purposes. It commenced operation on 1 November 2017 following its making on 6 September 2017.
Insurance (Disclosure of Information) Order 2017 Article 1 c SD No.2017/0244 Page 1 Statutory Document No. 2017/0244 Insurance Act 2008 c INSURANCE (DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION) ORDER 20171 Laid before Tynwald: 17 November 2017 Coming into Operation: 1 November 2017 The Treasury makes the following Order under paragraph 2(4) of Schedule 6 to the Insurance Act 2008. 1 Title This Order is the Insurance (Disclosure of Information) Order 2017. 2 Commencement This Order comes into operation on 1 November 2017. 3 Designation of authorities For the purposes of paragraph 2(4) of Schedule 6 to the Insurance Act 2008, the following are designated as authorities in respect of any of their functions – (a) the Cabinet Office; and (b) the Financial Intelligence Unit.
