CMN Resolution No. 4821 - Amends the Annual Global Limit for Credit Operations with Public Sector Entities in 2020

The Central Bank of Brazil, acting on behalf of the National Monetary Council, issued Resolution No. 4821 to amend the annual global limits for credit operations with public sector entities for the year 2020. This resolution modifies the Annex to Resolution No. 4,589 of 2017, establishing specific credit ceilings for operations guaranteed by the Union and those without such guarantees. The new limits, which entered into force upon publication on June 1, 2020, significantly reduce the total allowable credit volume compared to previous years to align with fiscal adjustments.

The Central Bank of Brazil, in accordance with Article 9 of Law No. 4,595 of December 31, 1964, makes public that the National Monetary Council, in an extraordinary session held on June 1, 2020, considering the provisions of Article 4, items VI and VIII, of the aforementioned Law,

R E S O L V E S:

Art. 1 The Annex to Resolution No. 4,589 of June 29, 2017, shall be in effect with the alterations contained in the Annex to this Resolution.

Art. 2 This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication.
