Operational and Services External Circular DEP-473, Subject 1: 2,000 Peso Banknotes
The Bank of the Republic issued Operational and Services External Circular DEP-473 to update the corporate manual regarding 2,000 peso banknotes. The circular introduces paragraph 87, mandating the circulation of the 2,000 peso banknote with the October 24, 2023 edition date and series CJ starting June 18, 2026. This update replaces previous documentation and confirms that the new series maintains the same design and security features as the preceding CH series.

Through this update, the following modification is incorporated:
- Paragraph 87 is added, which informs that, starting June 18, 2026, the Bank of the Republic will put into circulation 2,000 peso banknotes, with an edition date of October 24, 2023 – series CJ.
