Addition of Predicate Offence of Grievous Bodily Injury
The Federal Government of Pakistan has issued a notification under the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010, to expand the list of predicate offences. New entries regarding severe bodily harm, specifically injuries caused by corrosive substances and specified skull fractures, have been formally inserted into the Schedule of the Act. These amendments update the legal framework to ensure that crimes involving grievous bodily injury are officially classified as predicate offences for money laundering purposes.
