2020-04-30 | Resolução CMN 4813The National Monetary Council of Brazil, via the Central Bank, issued Resolution No. 4813 to temporarily modify the capital adequacy percentages for financial institutions under the simplified regime. The resolution mandates specific risk-weighted asset percentages for the periods between May 2020 and April 2022 to address the economic impacts of the pandemic. These adjustments apply to the calculation of the Simplified Reference Capital requirement as defined in Resolution No. 4,606 of 2017.
The Central Bank of Brazil, pursuant to Article 9 of Law No. 4,595 of December 31, 1964, makes public that the National Monetary Council, in a session held on April 30, 2020, based on Articles 3, item VI, and 4, items VIII and XI, of the aforementioned Law, Articles 9 and 10 of Law No. 4,728 of July 14, 1965, Article 20, paragraph 1, of Law No. 4,864 of November 29, 1965, Articles 7 and 23 of Law No. 6,099 of September 12, 1974, and Article 1, paragraph 1, and Article 12 of Complementary Law No. 130 of April 17, 2009,
R E S O L V E D:
Art. 1. Resolution No. 4,606 of October 19, 2017, shall enter into force with the following alterations:

§ 1. During the period from May 1, 2020, to April 30, 2021, the percentages referred to in items I and II of the main text shall be 10.5% (ten and five-tenths percent) and 15% (fifteen percent), respectively.
§ 2. During the period from May 1, 2021, to October 31, 2021, the percentages referred to in items I and II of the main text shall be 11% (eleven percent) and 15.5% (fifteen and five-tenths percent), respectively.
§ 3. During the period from November 1, 2021, to April 30, 2022, the percentages referred to in items I and II of the main text shall be 11.5% (eleven and five-tenths percent) and 16.25% (sixteen and twenty-five hundredths percent), respectively.” (New)”
Art. 2. This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication.
