The Resolution Measures Committee of the Bank of Greece authorised the establishment and operation of the interim credit institution named New TT Hellenic Postbank S.A. effective from 18 January 2013. This decision grants the entity the legal authority to conduct all banking activities specified in Article 11 para. 1 of Law 3601/2007. The ruling was issued following a recommendation from the Credit Institutions Resolution Unit and is mandated for publication in the Government Gazette and on the Bank of Greece website.
RESOLUTION MEASURES COMMITTEE Meeting 7/18.1.2013 Agenda item 2: Authorisation of the interim credit institution by the name of “New TT Hellenic Postbank S.A.” THE RESOLUTION MEASURES COMMITTEE, having regard to: (a) Article 55A of the Statute of the Bank of Greece; (b) Act No. 6/8.1.2013 of the Executive Committee of the Bank of Greece “Reestablishment of the Resolution Measures Committee and assignment of responsibilities” (Government Gazette B 13); (c) Law 3601/2007 “Taking-up and pursuit of the business of credit institutions, capital adequacy of credit institutions and investment firms, and other provisions” (Government Gazette A 178), as currently in force, and in particular Articles 63E, 68 and 69 para. 3 thereof; (d) Bank of Greece Governor’s Act 2526/8.12.2003 “Codification and supplementation of Bank of Greece Governor’s Act 1379/24 October 1988, as applicable, on the terms and conditions for licensing the establishment of a credit institution in Greece” (Government Gazette A 301), as currently in force; (e) Decision No. 2124/B95/18.1.2013 of the Minister of Finance, establishing the interim credit institution by the name of “New TT Hellenic Postbank S.A.”; and (f) the recommendation of the Credit Institutions Resolution Unit of the Bank of Greece dated 18.1.2013 regarding the authorisation of the said interim credit institution, HEREBY DECIDES AS FOLLOWS:
