Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 11/6/PBI/2009 Concerning Amendment of Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 7/40/PBI/2005 Concerning Issuance and Circulation of the Year 2005 Issue of Banknotes in the 10,000 Rupiah Denomination

Whereas the issuance and circulation of Rupiah is addressed to provide cash in society as an instrument of payment (legal tender); b. Whereas to optimalize the function of element on currency in the 10.000 (ten thousand) Rupiah denomination as a legal tender in Indonesia, it is deemed necessary to enhance the design of Rupiah currency especially for the signature in bank notes, the placement of year of issue or year of emission, and the year of print; c. Now therefore, based on the considerations referred to in letter a and letter b, amandment of Bank Indonesia Regulation concerning Issuance and Circulation of Banknotes of the Year 2005 Issue of Banknotes in the 10.000 (Ten Thousand) Rupiah Denomination needs to amended; In view of : 1. Article I A number of provisions in Bank Indonesia regulation Number 7/40/PBI/2005 concerning Issuance And Circulation Of The Year 2005 Issue Of Banknotes In The 10,000 (Ten Thousand) Rupiah Denomination (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 100 of 2005) are amended as follows:

  1. The provisions of Article 4 shall be amended as follows: Article 4 The specifications of the currency in the 10,000 (ten thousand) rupiah denomination referred to in Article 1 are:
