Whereas the issuance and circulation of Rupiah is addressed to provide cash in society as an instrument of payment (legal tender); b. Whereas to optimalize the function of element on currency in the 10.000 (ten thousand) Rupiah denomination as a legal tender in Indonesia, it is deemed necessary to enhance the design of Rupiah currency especially for the signature in bank notes, the placement of year of issue or year of emission, and the year of print; c. Now therefore, based on the considerations referred to in letter a and letter b, amandment of Bank Indonesia Regulation concerning Issuance and Circulation of Banknotes of the Year 2005 Issue of Banknotes in the 10.000 (Ten Thousand) Rupiah Denomination needs to amended; In view of : 1. Act of the Republic of Indonesia Number 23 of 1999 concerning Bank Indonesia (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 66 of 1999, Supplement to the State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3843) as amended by Act of the Republic of Indonesia Number 6 of 2009 (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 7 of

Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 6/14/PBI/2004 concerning Issuance, Circulation, Revocation as Legal Tender, Withdrawal from Circulation, and Destruction of the Rupiah Currency (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 52 of 2004, Supplement to State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4338) as amended by Bank Indonesia Regulation Number 9/10/PBI/2007 (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 113 of 2007, Supplement to State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 4762); HAS DECREED: To enact : AMENDMENT OF BANK INDONESIA REGULATION NUMBER 7/40/PBI/2005 CONCERNING ISSUANCE AND CIRCULATION OF THE YEAR 2005 ISSUE OF BANKNOTES IN THE 10,000 (TEN THOUSAND) RUPIAH DENOMINATION. Article I A number of provisions in Bank Indonesia regulation Number 7/40/PBI/2005 concerning Issuance And Circulation Of The Year 2005 Issue Of Banknotes In The 10,000 (Ten Thousand) Rupiah Denomination (State Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia Number 100 of 2005) are amended as follows:

1. The provisions of Article 4 shall be amended as follows: Article 4 The specifications of the currency in the 10,000 (ten thousand) rupiah denomination referred to in Article 1 are:

5. to the left of the main image, below the number “10000” representing face value, a rectoverso image that if held up to the light will reveal a complete logo of Bank Indonesia;

7. to the upper right of the main image, the Republic of Indonesia emblem of the “Garuda Pancasila”;
8. to the lower right, the Bank Indonesia logo in a octagon field, printed in optically variable ink that will change color from green to blue which can be viewed from certain angles;
9. to the lower right of the main image, the number “2009” representing year of print (2009 number will be changed according to the year of print), inscription of “DEWAN GUBERNUR” (Board Of Governors), signature of the Governor of Bank Indonesia accompanied by inscription of “GUBERNUR” (Governor) and signature of a Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia and the inscription of “DEPUTI GUBERNUR” (Deputy Governor);
10. background and filler consisting of wavy, slanted lines and a series of lines curved in the shape of Palembangese ornament;

Unofficial Translation 11) microtext legible only with the aid of a magnifying glass: a) to the left of the main image, filling the space in the number “10000”, the inscription of “BI”; b) to the left of the main image, upper and lower of the rectoverso image that if held up to the light, will reveal number “10000” vertically representing face value; c) to the upper left and underneath the main image, the inscription “BANK INDONESIA” as a background; d) to the right of the main image, the inscription of “BANKINDONESIA10000” arranged diagonally, forming an underlying pattern basic color and Palembangnese ornament; 12) minitext is small text size legible without the aid of a magnifying glass above and below the watermark, comprising the inscription of “BI10000” in curved form with varying text size. b. reverse side

5. serial number consisting of 3 (three) letters and 6 (six) digits, located to the lower left of the banknote and printed in black ink that will glows with a greenish color under ultraviolet light, and on the upper right, below the inscription of “BANK INDONESIA”, printed in red ink that will glow with a orangish color under ultraviolet light;

Unofficial Translation 6) to the upper right, below the serial number, a rectoverso image that if held up to the light will reveal a complete logo of Bank Indonesia; 7) to the lower right, below the number “10000” representing face value, the inscription “PERUM PERCETAKAN UANG RI IMP” and the issuance year of “2005”; 8) to the above of the watermark, a latent image of Rumah Limas siluet that glows yellowish green under ultraviolet light; 9) to the lower left of the main image, a latent image of the number “10000” in a rectangular form that glows yellowish green under ultraviolet light; 10) to the upper left and right of the main image, the number of “10000” forming an underlying pattern of basic color; 11) microtext legible only with the aid of a magnifying glass, at the: a) to the upper right of the Rumah Limas, the number 10000 forming tree leaves; b) to the lower right of the main image, the inscription of “BI”, filling the space in the number “10000”; 12) minitext is small size text legible without the aid of a magnifying glass, at the: a) to the above and below the watermark, the inscription of “BANKINDONESIA” forming curves in varying text size. b) To the upper right of the inscription “BANKINDONESIA” and below the number “10000”, the inscription of “BANKINDONESIA” forming circular lines. 3. material the specifications of the banknote paper, as follows: a. made of cotton fiber; b. length 145 mm and width 65 mm; c. light purple color; d. does not glow under ultraviolet light; e. watermark depicting the National Hero Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II and electrotype in logo of BI and Palembangnese ornament;
