Prime Minister John Briceño issued Statutory Instrument No. 116 of 2022 to bring specific provisions of the Belize Companies Act, 2022 into force. The Order appoints July 28, 2022, as the effective date for Part I, Part XVII (excluding sections 294–305 and 307), and sections 313, 315, and 316. These sections facilitate the repeal or amendment of several existing enactments, including the International Business Companies Act and the Companies Act.
