The Bank of Italy issued a regulation on July 9, 2019, establishing the rules for adopting normative acts of general content during the exercise of banking and financial supervisory functions. This regulation, effective fifteen days after its publication in the Official Gazette on July 24, 2019, explicitly repeals and replaces the previous regulation adopted on March 24, 2010. The measure implements Article 23 of Law No. 262 of December 28, 2005, thereby updating the internal procedural framework for the Bank's regulatory activities.

Regulation containing the rules for the adoption of acts of a normative or general content nature by the Bank of Italy in the exercise of supervisory functions, pursuant to Article 23 of Law No. 262 of December 28, 2005
The Regulation enters into force 15 days after the date of publication in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic. The provision was published in the Official Gazette General Series No. 172 of 24-07-2019.
