The Astana International Financial Centre regulator issues this guidance to establish mandatory Customer Due Diligence requirements for participants conducting non-face-to-face business with customers. It outlines risk-based verification protocols and internal control measures to effectively counteract money laundering and terrorist financing in remote onboarding scenarios. The updated requirements, incorporating amendments finalized in December 2024, will take effect on 1 January 2025.
