Central Bank (Supervision and Enforcement) Act 2013 (Section 48) (Lending to Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises) (Amendment) Regulations 2018
The Central Bank of Ireland issued these Regulations to amend the 2015 Lending to Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Regulations by aligning key definitions with Commission Recommendation 2003/361/EC. The amendments introduce specific definitions for partner enterprises and micro and small enterprises while updating the criteria for classifying borrowers. Additionally, the Regulations specify that regulated entities must exclude the employment numbers and financial data of partner enterprises from borrower assessments when investment is under €1,250,000 and financial resources are not shared.
