D1/2025 – Returns to be Submitted to the Prudential Authority
The Prudential Authority issued Directive D1/2025 to direct banks, controlling companies, and foreign branches to submit specified financial and risk-based returns as standalone directives rather than embedded regulations. This structural shift supports the Umoja System Implementation Project by consolidating return specifications and completion instructions under the Banks Act and Financial Sector Regulation Act. Effective 1 February 2025, regulated entities must complete designated certification forms and submit the required returns to the Prudential Authority.
