The Bank of Zambia mandates all commercial banks to electronically submit monthly Money Receipts and Remittances Returns via the e-BoP system by fixed 2025 deadlines. Money Receipts and Remittances Transactions continue to be processed by close of business on T+2, while the new calendar assigns specific submission dates from February 10 to January 9. Failure to submit complete and accurate returns on time will trigger a daily penalty of K500 until corrected.

CALENDAR FOR SUBMISSION OF MONTHLY MONEY RECEIPT AND REMITTANCE RETURNS UNDER THE ELECTRONIC BALANCE OF PAYMENTS MONITORING SYSTEM
Further to CB Circular No. 09/2019 of October 23, 2019, please be informed that the due dates for submission of complete monthly Money Receipts and Remittances Returns (MRRR) under the electronic balance of payment (e-BoP) monitoring system to the Bank of Zambia for 2025 are as follows:

The MRRR should be submitted to the Bank of Zambia electronically using the e-BoP monitoring system by the set due dates, while Money Receipts and Remittances Transactions (MRRT) will continue to be submitted by the close of business (T+2). Failure to comply with these requirements will attract a penalty of K500 per day for delayed submissions, incorrect returns or incomplete returns until the transactions are corrected or submitted.
