The Bank of Portugal issued Circular Letter No. CC/2021/00000046 to inform supervised entities about the continuation of proportional countermeasures against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Islamic Republic of Iran. These measures are adopted in response to the very high risk of money laundering and terrorist financing identified by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
