Consultation Paper No. 5 of 2025 – Proposed Amendments to Legal, Company, and Tax Service Provider Regimes
The Abu Dhabi Global Market Registration Authority proposes amendments to the Commercial Licensing Regulations to impose stricter entry criteria and continuing obligations on legal service providers, company service providers, and tax service providers. The proposals introduce a new controlled activity for tax services, restrict legal and audit firms from combining those licenses with company service provider activities, and mandate professional indemnity insurance and qualified staffing for all affected entities. Stakeholders are invited to submit comments by 15 June 2025 regarding these regulatory changes, which are scheduled to take effect eighteen months after publication for existing licensees.
