BCB Resolution No. 548 of February 19, 2026: Amends Tables I and II of Resolution BCB No. 317/2023 Regarding Maximum Deadlines for Administrative Decisions on Public Authorization Acts

The Central Bank of Brazil issued Resolution No. 548 on February 19, 2026, to amend the maximum administrative decision deadlines for public authorization acts listed in Tables I and II of Resolution BCB No. 317/2023. The regulation establishes specific timeframes, ranging from 60 to 1,080 days, for various financial entities including consortium administrators, payment institutions, leasing companies, and virtual asset service providers. Additionally, the resolution mandates that these new deadlines apply to authorization requests for virtual asset service providers filed since the entry into force of Resolution BCB No. 519 in November 2025.

R E S O L V E:

Art. 1. Table I – Public Authorization Acts with Risk Level III and Table II – Public Authorization Acts with Risk Levels I, contained in the annex to BCB Resolution No. 317, of April 27, 2023, published in the Official Gazette of the Union on May 2, 2023, shall enter into force in the form of the annex to this Resolution.

Sole Paragraph. The provisions of this Resolution apply to requests for authorization to operate virtual asset service providers filed with the Central Bank of Brazil from the entry into force of BCB Resolution No. 519, of November 10, 2025.

Art. 2. This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication.
