The Bank of Portugal issued Instruction No. 6/2020 to amend Instruction No. 5/2019 by requiring credit institutions and other financial entities to include specific procedures for complying with Regulation (EU) 2015/847 in their Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing reports. This directive specifically targeted entities such as banks, payment institutions, and electronic money institutions to ensure standardized reporting on cross-border fund transfers. The instruction was subsequently revoked by Instruction No. 8/2024 on June 6, 2024.
