Decision Amending the Decision on Identifying Other Systemically Important Credit Institutions
The Council of the Central Bank of Montenegro issued this decision on 17 February 2025 to amend the timeline for identifying other systemically important credit institutions. The amendment replaces the previous deadline of the end of March with a new requirement to complete the identification no later than 1 December. The decision also incorporates methodological changes made in the Montenegrin language and enters into force on the eighth day following its publication in the Official Gazette of Montenegro.
Pursuant to Article 44 paragraph (2) item 3) of the Central Bank of Montenegro Law (OGM 40/10, 6/13, 70/17, 125/23) and Article 161 paragraph (4) of the Law on Credit Institutions (OGM 72/19, 8/21), the Council of the Central Bank of Montenegro, at its meeting held on 17 February 2025, passed the following DECISION AMENDING THE DECISION ON IDENTIFYING OTHER SYSTEMICALLY IMPORTANT CREDIT INSTITUTIONS Article 1 In the Decision on identifying other systemically important credit institutions (OGM 127/20) in Article 5 the words: “no later than the end of March” shall be replaced by the following: “no later than by 1 December”. Article 2 In the Methodology for identifying OSICIs that is attached to the Decision in item I subitem 2 the changes have been made in Montenegrin language with no relevance to English translation. Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on the eighth day following that of its publication in the Official Gazette of Montenegro.
